With the release of the QS World University Rankings 2026, �㽶��Ƶproudly celebrates the collective achievement of Malaysian higher education. �㽶��Ƶhas gained a remarkable achievement in the QS World University Rankings 2026 by climbing from #539 to #410 globally. The inclusion of 32 Malaysian universities in this year’s global rankings is a powerful testament to the nation’s rising prominence as a dynamic and world-class hub for international education.

�㽶��Ƶproudly unveiled the Sir Jeffrey Cheah Sunway Medical School on the 7th of May 2025, in what was a truly memorable launch event, marking a transformative chapter in Malaysia’s medical education landscape.

�㽶��Ƶcontinues to be the #1 non-government linked private university in ASEAN and has made a significant leap in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2025 by being ranked #141 in Asia. This represents a significant improvement from the previous rank in the 201–250 band last year, catapulting �㽶��Ƶinto the Top 150 universities in Asia. This is Sunway University’s highest position since participating in the rankings three years ago, affirming our steady progress and commitment to excellence.  

�㽶��Ƶhas once again cemented its position as Malaysia’s #1 university for Graduate Employability, achieving this distinction for an impressive fourth consecutive year, as awarded by Talentbank. This continued recognition reaffirms Sunway’s role as a national leader in producing job-ready graduates equipped for the demands of today’s competitive workforce.

�㽶��Ƶhas achieved a significant milestone, with Hospitality & Leisure Management being ranked in the 51-100 band globally in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025. This outstanding achievement is a testament to Sunway University’s rigorous student-centric learning experience, research-intensive ecosystem, and significant industry partnerships.

As part of its commitment to international collaboration and academic excellence, �㽶��Ƶhas officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with , Indonesia. The signing took place during the AppliedHE Xchange 2025 event on Sunday, 23 February 2025, at the InterContinental Bali.

This MoU marks a new chapter in Sunway University’s efforts to strengthen its global academic network, fostering research collaboration, student exchange programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
