10-10 MySTIE 2.0
In 2020, Sunway IGSC’s research team developed the Malaysian Science, Technology, Innovation, and Economic development framework, known as the 10-10 MySTIE — a model that connects 10 global Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) areas with 10 key socioeconomic drivers to enhance Malaysia’s competitiveness. Developed in partnership with the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, the 10-10 MySTIE framework was incorporated into the 12th Malaysia Plan (2021–2025) and has since guided major national grant schemes and policy agencies.
Building on this foundation, Sunway IGSC is now advancing the second-generation STIE framework, known as “TRIPLE-TEN.” This new framework introduces ten global transformative forces shaping the 10 STI and 10 socioeconomic drivers of the nation. To refine and align this next-generation model with national priorities, Sunway IGSC is conducting workshops across the country in preparation for its inclusion in the 13th Malaysia Plan (2026–2030).
