Biography
Dr Michael Pak-Kai Wong obtained his medical degree from the University of Sheffield in 2005 and completed his postgraduate training in General Surgery at Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2015. He later pursued subspecialty fellowship training in Colorectal Surgery, which he completed in 2020 through programs at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, and the Japan Council of Medical Training, Tokyo.
Dr Wong has been a fully registered medical practitioner since 2008 and currently serves as a Consultant in Colorectal Surgery at Sunway Medical Centre. He also holds the position of Clinical Professor in Colorectal Surgery at Sunway University.
His research interests include colon and rectal surgery, proctology, minimally invasive surgery, functional lower gastrointestinal disorders, and fundamental oncology research. Dr. Wong is actively involved in academic publishing and peer review, and remains committed to advancing surgical practices through research, innovation, and education.
